Dance Classes · HK Juniors · 8–12 years
HK Juniors covers Beginners through to Advanced. Multi-style, streamed by ability, with an open door to invite-only team training when a dancer is ready. This is where the technique starts to look like technique.
First class is free. No card, no commitment.
What a class looks like
Step 1
Proper conditioning — stretch, isolations, alignment. The kind of warm-up that prevents injury and builds the dancer underneath the routine.
Step 2
Style-specific drills. Hip Hop foundations, contemporary release work, tap rhythm, theatre projection. The vocabulary that makes choreography make sense.
Step 3
A routine built across the term, refined week by week. They're learning to perform, not just memorise.
Step 4
Stretch out, share what landed, name what to work on next week. They leave with a thing to think about.
Class timetable
Juniors classes run at Billericay HQ. Operational timetable is 9–12; the band runs 8–12 to bridge with the top of HK Minis.
Why Juniors works
Streamed by ability
Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced streams sit inside the Juniors band. The dancer is met where they actually are, not where the year-group says they should be.
Multiple styles
Most Juniors take two or three classes a week and start to develop a style identity. The teachers talk to each other so the training joins up.
Path to team
Team training is invitation-only. We watch in regular class and invite when a dancer is ready. No audition pressure on the parent side.
Pricing
No card needed. After your trial, we send the term pricing with the timetable. No joining fee, no deposit, sibling discounts apply.
Parents ask
Come and try a Beginners class first. The teacher will see them in the room and move them up after a few weeks if Intermediate fits better. We'd rather move up than back down.
Encouraged. Lots of Juniors find their thing by trying two or three. The timetable is built to let them sample without committing for a whole term.
Teams are invite-only and we're honest about the bar. Some Juniors are invited in their first year, some later, some not — and that's a perfectly good dance education either way.
Two is a strong start. Three or four if they're hungry. We'll guide you — pushing a tired dancer into a fourth class is how the love-of-dance gets lost.
